Caren Leonard - songwriter

Songs on everything from reincarnation to cookies! Dinosaurs! Butterflies! World peace, the environment, women’s rights, goddess worship, and late twentieth century angst. Songs to inspire and songs to make you laugh! And, for you die-hard folkies, Caren even has her very own train song!

In 1997, Caren was one of twelve songwriters chosen for the Songwriting Project of the Bethlehem Steel Festival. Working under the supervision of renowned songwriter Bob Franke, the songwriters interviewed former Bethlehem Steel workers and wrote songs based on the interviews. The songwriters will present their original material at the Steel Festival, September 9-19 1999 in Bethlehem, Pa. During the festival, a CD "Days of Steel" on BummerTent Records will be available. The CD contains songs written and performed by the twelve songwriters, including Caren's song "My Quiet Place".
